So tell me, who doesn't love pizza!? And I don't mean that soggy, flavourless stuff you have to spend a fortune on. I mean that perfectly baked, fluffy, wholesome kind of pizza you can only get from a labour of love. Well this is a recipe I have discovered that tastes just like that but without the "labour". Here is a quick and easy recipe for a super simple pizza dough!
Ingredients:
Because I LOVE my Kitchenaid stand mixer this is how I make it but if you don't have a stand mixer or just prefer the good old fashioned hand kneaded way, just omit the mixer.
Et Voila! A quickly done, perfect family dinner for 1/10th the cost of take out and made with simple ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen!

Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
- 9ish fl oz warm water
Because I LOVE my Kitchenaid stand mixer this is how I make it but if you don't have a stand mixer or just prefer the good old fashioned hand kneaded way, just omit the mixer.
- Place the flour in the bowl and make a little well in the flour.
- Fill the well with the yeast, sugar, salt, EVOO and water.
- Using the dough hook, turn your mixer on low until all the ingredients are well combined.
- Increase the speed and mix for about 10 minutes or until the dough is a cute little smooth ball.
- Place that lovely dough ball into a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a clean dry cloth.
- Set the bowl in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size.
- After about 30 minutes, turn the dough out on a floured surface and punch down the dough to remove excess air. (My favourite part!!!!)
- Divide dough in to 2 pieces. (We often freeze one and cook the other, since its just C and I one half of this dough is more than enough for the two of us!)
- Roll out each piece and top with pizza sauce and your favorite toppings! (Our favourite is BBQ sauce with pulled chicken, mozzarella cheese, red onions and pineapple!!)
- Bake at 400 until edges are golden brown and the bottom is fully cooked.
